CALIFORNIA LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
The California Legislature is well into the 2009-2010 legislative session. Credit unions can anticipate a full array of issues addressing mortgage lending, loan origination, and foreclosure proceedings. The California Legislature is going to be very active this year in addressing financial institutions and the current economic climate, which also includes the state’s growing budget deficit. Check here regularly for updates on all of California’s legislative proceedings.

NEVADA LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
The Nevada State Legislature meets bi-annually. The 2009 session will begin February 2 and is scheduled to end June 1. Be sure to check this section regularly for updates on initiatives in Nevada. To date, there have been more than 956 bill/legislative requests issued by Members of the Nevada Legislature.
